It has an interesting history, but to be honest there is not a lot to do or see in the city other than the derelict costal forts, post war rebuild is mostly industrial/commercial so there is very little "old town" left, I went off-season so most tourist sights were closed. I suspect in tourist season my view of the town would improve. There is a lot of potential in the north part with military history and a lot of grand buildings that have been left to ruin or ruined by soviet style concrete blocks. Needs sympathetic rejuvenation. Worth a visit but not a prolonged stay.

Liepaja is a "hidden gem" of Latvia! It has a wonderful, relaxed vibe. Food everywhere was delicious and fresh. The people seemed much friendlier than Riga. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect spot to spend a few days. There are also plenty of nature excursions to do in the area.

My favourite places: market, beach, before beach is excellent walking parks, good restaurants and a lot more things to do. We didn't enjoy the roadworks. A lot roads are closed, a lot traffic jams. We recommend to visit Liepaja City!!!

I liked the free spirit of the inhabitants which contributed essentially to the development of the city today.
I love the warmth in the eyes of the people I've interacted with and those I've met on the street and crossed our eyes.
I like the mix of cultures living together.
I love the contrast between old and new that can be seen in the constructions.
I like that families have at least 2 children each, they are beautiful people in face and soul!
I absolutely loved this apartment - it is stunning! it was also the best value apartment that I could find in Liepāja. It’s around a five minute walk to the centre and fifteen minutes to the seaside park and beach. It was very comfortable and cosy and very quiet at night. I felt safe in the area. There was Netflix available on the tv and a dolce gusto coffee machine! Probably the best thing about this apartment is the standalone bath!!! I felt like I was at a 5 star hotel!
We were welcomed into a very tidy, bright and comfortable apartment with a bucket of live flowers on the table. The place was conveniently located near both the city center and the beach, in a charming neighborhood filled with historic brick and wooden buildings characteristic of Liepaja (and home to many friendly cats!). The owner was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, offering valuable advice on numerous interesting locations nearby.
The perfect apartment in Liepaja! The apartment is lovely, tastefully decorated, and pristine. Also, the location and amenities are excellent - very near to the beach and in the city center; the apartment is well-equipped and spacious.
The host was helpful and easy to communicate with throughout the stay.
We loved our stay! Deffinaletely will return and we will recommend it to others.
Beds are comfortable, rooms clean, bathroom worked good. Complimentary toiletries were a nice touch. Enough electrical outlets in the room. Very helpful staff. Wifi signal was good. Hotel is small with only seven rooms. Parking on a fenced territory which is a good thing - during season might be a problem to find a spot on the street.
Secure parking by the hotel door. Separate entrance to the apartment, lots of space, all commodities you can think of. You can basically live there for weeks.
Near the park and seaside, at the same time quite near the old town.
Easy check-in and check-out.
It's our prefferred hotel in Liepaja. Close to city centre, quiet and comfortable. This time had room 10 - bed was excellent, warm blanket, big pillows - we had a very good sleep. Easy check in, check out. Easy ti get parking in front ios hotel.
Out the best hotel in Liepaja. Nice location in the city center, next to the shops. Parking. Great breakfast.
We always choose Art Hotel Roma for our stay in Liepaja.

Absolutely the best place I have stayed in in Liepāja. Location is ideal - great for university, shops, cafes, Lielais Dzintars, beaches. Very stylishly renovated and atmospheric. Very comfy beds. Lovely balcony.
It is in a good location in the heart of Liepaja. Apartment is spacious, possible to make breakfast so it’s very convenient. And stuff very nice.
That’s good that parking is close to the hotel and free.
Breakfast- double espresso, strong double espresso, oatmeal, cheese, ham, cakes, large juice glasses and certain chefs, recipe Liepāja menčini with cod - a one-time delicious dish in a restaurant
Excellent location and stylish decorations, athmosphere. Garden! Only go there if you are not afraid of old and flimsy furniture. Search for dust on doorsills in some other conventiona hotel 😁
Clean room, good facilities, the presence of a balcony in the room, parking in the courtyard of the hotel, good locations, everything you need within walking distance. Everything was great.
Lovely apartment in the center of Liepaja and just a few minutes to the beach. Spotlessly clean, and there was everything you need: towels, coffee machine, kitchen tools.
