I have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions and it will always be my first choice when visiting Montreux. The Reception Staff are friendly and extremely helpful as are the rest of the staff. My room was exactly as I have come to expect it to be; comfortable with a very nice bathroom and a magnificent view of the lake and mountains. I made good use of the chairs and table on my balcony at various times during the days and evenings. The hotel has excellent facilities; spacious and well maintained areas at Reception level alongwith a large grand Dining Room. The outside areas are well maintained and a pleasure to sit and have a drink or a meal in. Montreux is a beautiful town and the hotel does it justice in every respect.

It’s a posh looking hotel with rich history and it has definitely renovated with fine finishing. Guess you pay for quality and comfort, more importantly it’s just across the train station so it’s very convenient and near a lot cheaper for eateries.

Surrounded by Lake Geneva and glorious Alpine peaks, tranquil Montreux has enchanted artistes through the ages. Lord Byron was so inspired by the style and setting of waterfront Château de Chillon that he wrote a poem about it. Nowadays it is one of Switzerland’s most popular attractions.
Freddie Mercury also fell in love with Montreux and a lakefront statue in Place du Marché commemorates this former resident in typical pose, with one arm raised to the heavens. Queen fans flock here for the annual Memorial Day, just one musical festival hosted by this town. The most famous is the 2-week Montreux Jazz Festival, held in the Music & Convention Centre.
On the opposite side of town is Audiorama (the Swiss National Audiovisual Museum), near a funicular railway which climbs the hill. Further up the slopes is the family-friendly Rochers-de-Naye ski area, while the Les Pléiades pistes overlook neighbouring Vevey. Down at the quayside wooden chalets house stalls of the annual Christmas market.
Summer activities include boat trips, hiking and the Montreux-Oberland-Bernois narrow gauge railway whose trains allow you to really savour the views…and a nice cup of coffee.
The train station also connects to Geneva, site of the nearest airport, and Booking.com offers luxury hotels, apartments with views and cheap B&Bs nearby.

It's a wonderful small town on the bord of Geneva lake where you can find peace, quiet, meditate and reflect as you wish to find your inner self. It's different from other swiss cities and once you were here might understand why Freddie loved it so much.

Montreux is a wonderful region that one can spend 3-4 days in easily. The lake side views are phenomenal. One can choose from multiple options such as visit vineyards around Vevey, take a train ride from Vevey to Laussane (regional one not the fast trains), explore Chillon castle, do a trip on golden express or glacier express, take a trip to Roches de Nayers and just relax and enjoy scenic beauty of the region. Highly recommended

Montreux is a wonderful location to spend your holiday.
Montreux is a wonderful location to spend your holiday. It has many restaurants to dine at. The view of the lake is stunning. There is plenty of public transport, and with free passes you can travel all around the town. And also there are a couple of free train journeys for you to travel up the mountain side. And should you feel lucky, you can try your luck at the Casino which is just across the road from the Hotel.

Two night/three days in Montreux barely scratched the surface of all the things to see and do. The charm, the location, culture and sheer beauty, especially along the lakefront captured my heart. May it capture yours, too!

Wonderful place.
Wonderful place. The city is confined in a narrow region between the lake and steep mountain, but still well organized without mess. There are several parking buildings which was ok during the jazz fest in September. So many wonderful places to visit if you take mountain trains from Montreux.
The location is dope !!! it’s one of the hotels just on edge of promenade of Montreux.
in fact the only one with all sides facing lake and also the restaurant on top of promenade and lake.
special kudos to the staff. French hospitality with Swiss flavour can be best.
we also liked the breakfast spread and would highly recommend for those who are food connoisseurs.
Anna from Eurotel helped to reserve the topmost floor for us and also arranged the room for our kid. overall nothing could have been better.
Exceptional location. Even the Fairmont Montreux Palace does not have this extraordinary location, quiet, right on the water with a breath taking view, and a terrasse next to the lake walking path. No noisy street between the hotel and the lake. Some renovated rooms, good breakfasts, good restaurant
Very pleasant staff willing to help, especially Estelle and Rosemarie at the reception. Gorgeous sunrise and sunsets from our balcony on the 3rd floor.
Great location in Montreux. Very close to the lake, restaurants, and shops. The weather was very hot and I went swimming in the lake several times. Very pleasant staff. The breakfast was marginal compared to other hotels. The restaurant was excellent with good seafood and wine. My room was above the restaurant and a busy alley which made it quite noisy until late at night.
Afte 4 weeks on the road in Europe staying in A and B etc apartments, it was so great to stay in a quiet, clean, roomy comfortable new hotel, right on the train station and run by a very attentive staff that really cared about our stay. The bed was a king bed (the best ) and a walk around deck to see the city and a full breakfast, including eggs and hot meats.
The location of this hotel is excellent if visiting for the Montreux Jazz Festival as the free bus is 4 minutes walk from the hotel and it's a 10 minute ride down to the heart of the event. All the staff were helpful and welcoming which added to the enjoyment of the stay. Breakfast was very modest but sufficient to start every day.
My room was lake view and it was incredible. We stayed 1 night but it was hard to leave there. The room was very clean, the breakfast was nice, and the hotel provide us Montreux city card which is covering public transport and providing discounts for some museums.
hotel splendid is in the most exceptional location one the lakefront and has stupendous views. I was here for montreux Noel and it was directly outside the most vibrant section. staff were so friendly and helpful and a divine breakfast. I will stay here again
Of 7 hotels in Switzerland that we stayed in on our travels, this was the highest price, but also was the nicest hotel too. The facility is very good, location excellent (right across the street from the train station) and what food we ate was very good!
After fracturing my ankle, Hotel Tralala was the ideal place to stay in Montreux to access public transport to get back home by train. The hotel was in a quiet location with the bonus of having a Montreux Jazz vibe and a fountain next to it
One of the most cleanest hotels I have ever been. Very kind receptionists and excellent location. There is a direct access from the train station Montreux Platform 1. Wonderful place, I will definitely come back.
Smooth self check in, room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Shower was great. Hotel was kind enough to look after our bags while we went to see the nearby castle.
Great location near train station and the lake.
I was looking forward to returning to Montreux and Hotel Parc & Lac to pick up the Golden Pass line. Ideal location, a view that is unbeatable, wonderful staff and a first class room. Highly recommended.
The hotel was centrally located for walking into town and seeing Montreux. The breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly and they had a washing machine and dryer! Very clean.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Montreux
Such a lovely welcoming hotel. Our room with its large balcony overlooking the lake made us love Montreux even more. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends.
Incredible hotel. Everyone was so hospitable and welcoming. We came with our 2 year old son who was so spoilt (in the best way!). A great hotel for a luxurious stay in Montreux.
